Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev

Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev, born in Moscow in 1993, comes of a family of musicians. Graduated with honors from Central Musical School in Moscow, where he studied with professor Alexander Mndoyants in 2000-2011.
In his early childhood he already performed a lot on stage, starting from the age of 4. At 9 he had his debut with the Bryansk Philharmonic Orchestra (Bach, concerto f-moll). During his school years Arseny has won 5 international youth piano competitions, including the New Names Competition in Moscow.
In 2016 he graduated Moscow Conservatory as a student and then completed his post- graduate course in 2018 with famous professor Sergey Dorensky, as well as his worldwide- acknowledged assistants – Nikolai Lugansky, Pavel Narsesjan, Andrey Pisarev.
During his studies, being the student of the 1st course, Arseny marked 2012 by an outstanding victory in the V International Scriabin Piano Competition (Moscow, June).
During the next few years, he became top prize winner of other international piano competitions, including:
Cleveland International Piano Competition (2013)
Grieg International Piano Competition in Bergen (2014)
Sydney International Piano Competition (2016)
Since 2017 Arseny is a pupil of the International Piano Academy Lake Como
Signing a five-year international recording contract with Decca Classics and Universal Music followed this success.
In 2017 Arseny was awarded prestigious “Premio Chigiana” as one of the most brilliant musicians of his generation.
He plays in Moscow – the Great, Small, and Rachmaninoff Halls of the Moscow Conservatoire, Tchaikovsky Hall etc. Tours in Europe, Asia, Northern America and Australia.
Arseny performs with orchestras, such as “Evgeny Svetlanov” Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, LPO, Cleveland Orchestra, Bergen Philarmonic Orchestra, Orchestro della Toscana and many others.
He collaborated with many recognized conductors, among them: Valery Gergiev, Stanislav Kochanovsky, Felix Korobov, Alexander Sladkovsky, Robert Trevino, Jaime Martin, Ken David-Masur, Stefan Sanderling, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Dimitris Botinis, Valentin Uryupin and many others.
In 2015 Arseny has recorded his first CD with Debussy’s first livre of Preludes and L’isle Joyeuse, as well as Ravel’s «Gaspard de la Nuit» («Acousense» label, Germany).
In October 2018 his new CD presented by Decca Classics was released, featuring pieces by Rachmaninoff, Skryabin, Medtner, Prokofiev, T. Nikolaeva.
Among his highlights of season 2018-19 – Tour in Japan (Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya), 18-recital national tour in Australia, New Year’s Gala concert in Royal Opera House in Muscat featuring Liszt’s Concerto No.1 and the Benelux Tour with LPO featuring Beethoven’s Concerto No.5 under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington.
